Digital Designer

We are currently looking to talk to a number of experienced designers to work with the team developing a number of new games.  These games will run in web browsers using huge data sets, and access from a number of social networks such as Facebook and MySpace.

Job Description:

Work as an integral member of a small, agile team to develop user interface designs on our unreleased games. Take responsibility for key applications from concept to execution, and deliver completed designs on schedule. Work collaboratively with the team to develop user interaction models and functional descriptions for new applications, finding creative solutions within technical constraints. Develop Usage specs, screen layouts and wireframes, and prototype them to get feedback. Develop designs from wireframes and sketches into detailed, dimensioned specifications and production-ready assets, and implement all detailed designs in close collaboration with the technical team.

The ideal candidate must be able to work both within an existing design framework (creating user interfaces for new applications within an existing design framework) and creating comprehensive new product concepts or visual themes from the platform level up.

Specific Skills

• Several years of Visual UI Design, User Experience, and/or Interaction Design work experience with an impressive portfolio
• Ability to work effectively within a highly collaborative, fast-paced, team
• Passion for developing great products that engage and delight end users
• Expertise in designing user interfaces for applications, consumer electronic devices or websites
• Interaction design experience developing wireframes and flow diagrams for software apps
• Solid prototyping skills for still and motion graphics a strong plus
• Demonstrated skills in creating Look & Feel implementations, including graphic layouts & assets
• Experience in creating user-interface specifications documents for customers or developers
• Familiarity with usability testing methodologies
• Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills working within cross-functional teams
• UK based, preferably West Midlands

Technical Game Developer

We are currently looking to talk to a number of experienced technical developers to work with the team developing a number of new games.  These games will run in web browsers using huge data sets, and access from a number of social networks such as Facebook and MySpace.

Skills needed:

  • Web development general skills (coding standards, svn, html, familiarity with various issues of browser compatibility etc)
  • Strong CSS
  • Strong PHP/MySQl
  • Some Javascript/AJAX
  • Some FBML preferable
  • Able to self start but also follow a specific brief.
  • Able to work agile (SCRUM)
  • UK based, preferably West Midlands
  • Position is initially freelance but offers the probability of being full time

iPhone Developer – Objective C/Cocoa/iPhone SDK (contract)

With an already excellent cutting edge development team we require a motivated iPhone Developer to help us deliver high quality products and games.

As an iPhone Developer your experience will be purely focused on designing and coding mobile applications blending creativity with solid delivery across the iphone platform. You will also have good experience with technologies such as iPhone SDK, Cocoa, Objective C etc. As an iPhone Developer you will have good experience with Client Server network applications and have a good understanding of Object Orientated Design
